Nerve Pain
If you have ever hit your funny bone, you have experienced nerve pain. That searing, paralyzing pain that prevents your from moving your arm is nerve pain. The problem is, nerves can be irritated anywhere and it doesn't always have to be from acute trauma. Click the button below to learn more about nerve pain.
Muscle Spasms and TRigger Points
Humans are able to move and function because of the muscles in the body. Sometimes we put the muscles under a great deal of stress. Whether it is working out or typing on a keyboard all day, your muscles can become tight and stop functioning at their best. Sometimes they can even pinch the nerves that run through them and cause tingling and numbness.
Carpal Tunnel
Carpal tunnel is the result of muscles in the forearm being so tight they take up room in the tunnel where nerves run through. The symptoms can range from tingling to complete loss of hand function, if not treated properly. Dr. Favro has a great deal of experience working with carpal tunnel patients and providing a non surgical approach.
Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition in which the shoulder joint becomes stiff and painful to move. Symptoms usually start slowly and progress over time. In some cases these symptoms can last six months or more.
Bursitis and Tendonitis
Symptoms of bursitis and tendonitis are similar and include inflamed soft tissues that replicate symptoms of joint pain. Many times it is mistaken for arthritis. For these conditions, pain and stiffness often intensifies with movement. Bursitis and Tendonitis will not cause deformity, but can limit motion and last for months.
Non-Spinal Subluxations
Chiropractors are thought of as only treating the back. However, Dr. Favro has taken courses on evaluating and treating subluxations in the extremities as well. Just like the spine, if joints are not lined up properly in the extremity, they become inflammed and painful and your body cannot functiona as it was meant to.
