MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE

Your body is the most complex and finely tuned machine ever created. It can adapt and survive in a variety of situations. It can be trained to lift heavy things or run long distance. All of these examples require movement. Dr. Favro's approach to care is evaluating each person's detailed movement and applying a series of specific treatments to help first, reduce the pain and second, correct the movement. He will work with you to better understand your daily habits and lifestyle so a complete treatment plan can be put togehter.

Phase 1:            Assess

If you are in pain when you come to our Saratoga Springs office, the first goal is to reduce that pain and get you feeling better as soon as possible. The assessment phase is crucial and our chiropractic examination takes about 30 minutes during which time our chiropractors may perform orthopedic tests, movement screens, neurological testing and more as clinically indicated.

Phase 2:  Correct

Once our chiropractors have narrowed down the list of list of problems that are causing your symptoms, they begin working to correct them. They will use techniques like Active Release Techniques, cupping, flossing, electric muscle stimulation, joint mobilization and other manual therapies to restore the bodies natural ability to move.

Phase 3: Load

Most doctors stop after the issue has been corrected. Our chiropractors understand that your body needs to be able to withstand the stresses of life. That is why they take the time to show you exercises to help strengthen the new patterns you learned in the corrective phase. This will prepare you for the rigors of everyday life and reduce the risk of re-injury.
