Subluxation
Subluxations occur when two joints are not properly lined up with one another. This misalignment can cause inflammation, pain, and sometimes nerve damage. Symptoms can include dull aching, burning, stabbing or a loss of movement. Dr. Adam Favro, chiropractor will identify and correct subluxations starting at your first visit.
Bulging or Herniated Disc
The spinal disc is the cushioning between the bones and provides a surface for the bones to slide on. In some people these discs can become weakened and even tear which can put pressure on the spinal nerve and spinal column. There are many non-surgical and non-pharmaceutical techniques to treat bulging or herniated discs.
Degenerative Disc Disease
All moving parts require maintenance. Your body is not exception. When the alignment of joints is off they can be subject to trauma and wear and tear. In the spine we call this process degenerative joint disease or DJD. DJD is permanent, but living with the pain doesn't have to be.
Sports Injuries
It is Dr. Favro's philosophy that if you're active, you're an athlete. Whether you're trying out for the US Olympic team or running your first 5K, injuries can happen. But don't worry, we are here for you. Chiropractic is a safe, effective and widely used technique in the sporting world. Whether it's an ankle sprain, a rotator cuff injury or neck pain from hand stand push ups, we are here to help.
Sciatica
Sciatica is a condition that relates to pinching or increased pressure on the sciatic nerve anywhere alongs its path. The nerve comes out from the lower back and branches of it go down into the toes. It can be a very painful condition, but with the right treatment you should be back in your feet in no time.
